Terms of Use

Effective September 2, 2026

These terms govern your use of the MusicKeep iOS application ("MusicKeep", "the app"), made by Stefan Dašić, an independent developer ("we", "us"). By downloading or using MusicKeep you agree to them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to every app from the App Store.

1. What MusicKeep is

MusicKeep is an offline-first player and organizer for audio files that you already have. It lets you import, transfer, organize, and play your own music on your device. MusicKeep does not sell, stream, provide, index, or search for music, and it does not include any music catalog.

2. Your files and your responsibility

Only import, download, or transfer audio and artwork that you own or are authorized to use. You are solely responsible for making sure you have the necessary rights to any file you bring into MusicKeep, and for complying with the terms of any website or service you obtain files from.

The direct-download feature accepts only public HTTPS links to audio files and asks you to confirm before saving. It is a tool for files you are entitled to download — for example your own recordings, purchases that offer a download link, or freely licensed audio. Do not use it to obtain content you are not authorized to copy.

Your files remain yours. We claim no rights over anything you import, and we never receive a copy.

3. Network features

Wi-Fi Drop, Nearby Send, direct downloads, and any cloud-provider connection run only when you start them and only with files you choose. Wi-Fi Drop makes your device reachable to other devices on the same local network while the feature is open; use it only on networks you trust. Transfers and downloads are provided as-is, and you are responsible for keeping copies of your original files.

4. MusicKeep Plus

5. Your data and backups

MusicKeep stores your library on your device only (see the Privacy Policy). We have no copy and cannot recover it. You are responsible for backing up your device and your original audio files. Library backups exported from Backup Center preserve your organization and settings but do not contain the audio itself.

6. Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the app or its purchase system; don't use MusicKeep to infringe anyone's copyright or other rights; and don't use its network features to access systems or files you are not authorized to access.

7. Intellectual property

MusicKeep, its design, code, name, and icon are our property and are protected by copyright and other laws. These terms grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store rules. The music you import remains the property of its respective rights holders.

8. Third-party services

Purchases are provided by Apple. If you connect a cloud provider such as Dropbox, your use of that service is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for its availability or conduct. Websites you visit through the direct-download browser are operated by third parties.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

MusicKeep is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every audio file will import or play correctly, or that transfers and downloads will always succeed.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of MusicKeep, including loss of data or audio files. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Changes and availability

We may update MusicKeep, change or retire features, or update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes to these terms will be posted here with a new effective date; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may also discontinue the app; if that happens, existing purchases are handled under App Store rules.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you additional rights. Where Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, it applies in addition to these terms.
