What is MusicKeep?
MusicKeep is an offline music player and library manager for iPhone and iPad. It imports audio files you already own, organizes them into playlists and folders, and plays them without an internet connection. It does not stream music and has no built-in catalog.
Does MusicKeep work without an internet connection?
Yes. Once a file is in your MusicKeep library, playback, search, playlists, lyrics, and metadata editing all work offline. The network is used only for optional features you start yourself, such as Wi-Fi Drop, Nearby Send, Dropbox, Direct Download, the artwork lookup, or an App Store purchase.
Can MusicKeep play MP3 files on my iPhone?
Yes. Save the MP3 to the Files app or any location it can reach, open MusicKeep, tap Add Music, choose Files, and pick the file. MusicKeep copies it into its own library, where you can organize it and play it offline. See the step-by-step guide to playing MP3 files on iPhone.
Which audio formats does MusicKeep support?
MP3, M4A, AAC, ALAC, FLAC, WAV, AIF, AIFF, and CAF. The same list applies however you add music: the Files app, Wi-Fi Drop, Nearby Send, Dropbox, or a direct download. DRM-protected files cannot be imported or played. See supported audio formats in detail.
Can I import songs downloaded from Spotify or Apple Music?
No. Downloads from streaming services are DRM-protected and play only inside those services' own apps. MusicKeep does not bypass DRM. It plays unprotected files you own, such as purchases with a download option, CD rips, and your own recordings.
Does MusicKeep require an account or show ads?
No. There is no MusicKeep account, no sign-up, and no advertising. The app contains no analytics or tracking SDKs, and your library stays on your device.
Is MusicKeep free?
Yes. Importing from the Files app or a direct link, organizing, and listening are free with no time limit. MusicKeep Plus is an optional upgrade, sold as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, that adds smart playlists, the custom equalizer, crossfade, playback speed, Wi-Fi Drop, Nearby Send, Dropbox import, batch metadata editing, and Storage Insights. Every Plus feature can be tried free for 14 days on your device.
Where can I download MusicKeep?
MusicKeep is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later.
